So you are new to Bacolod and you need to buy some new clothes. What do you do?
That all depends. For Westerners, it's a bit more difficult than for other Asians. Our bodies are built differently. We can't go to the shops around the Central Market and have the clothes fit neatly.
I'm a relatively tall man for the Philippines, yet I'm quite short for Western standards (5'7). I'm about average weight with broad shoulders. This makes things difficult when trying to buy shirts and even pants to some extent.

The District North Point - Ayala Malls
The newest mall to hit the metro area of Bacolod City is The District at North Point, a Ayala Mall. It opened on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 and hosted Side A at 4:30pm.
Currently, only one building of the planned 3 building complex is open. The second building will open April 18th and will house the Department Store. The third building will open at an unspecified time in the future and will house the Grocery.
Ayala has been criticized for their mall plan by customers and it has shown in the few amount of people who visit the mall outside of events.
The entire commercial district is said to have cost P9.3 Billion. The area is also home to parks and will soon have a hotel.

Negros Showroom
Negros Showroom on Lacson St. |
The Negros Showroom in Bacolod City is located on the tourism strip (Lacson St.). However, if you are ever near Robinsons Place Bacolod, you can check out their extension in City Walk (behind the mall). They actually have almost the exact same products and items. The outside of the City Walk shop is more pleasing to the eyes and in a great place for when you are wanting to cool off and walk around Robinsons mall.
