Bowling at Lopue's East

One of the few places in Bacolod that a Westerner can have fun playing western style games is at Lopue's East. There's a bowling center which has both regular bowling and duck bowling (a smaller pin and ball version). The center also includes some billiards tables.


The experience was OK but not fantastic. In the US, I have memories of taking turns, laughing together and simply having a good time (and spending a couple hours at the alley in the process). However, at Lopue's, they seem to get everyone in a hurry to try to get you to spend as much money as possible. They give every player their own lane. If you love bowling and you have a ton of cash to spend, that's fantastic. However, for the rest of us who simply want a night out on the town, that's not too great.

So if you are like me and you want to stay a while, have some laughs, and just goof off, be sure to request one single lane for all of you. Otherwise the game will be over in 10 minutes and you'll wonder why you spent so much money!
