Greenoz Pizza

One of the first pizza places you'll see in Bacolod is Greenoz. Greenoz has been a beloved and hated restaurant in Bacolod the world over.

The famed pizza place serves an incredibly large Swiss-style pizza which has a very thin crust and only a few toppings. However, the taste is pretty decent.

Greenoz Pizza in Bacolod City
There are quite a few different toppings/flavors to choose and a ton of different sizes. The crust is handmade when  you order so you'll definitely get a fresh piece of pie. The downside is that the menu isn't always totally available. This seems to be a constant problem everywhere in Bacolod. I have very rarely went to restaurants and had everywhere I wished to order available.

As I always tell foreigners, do as the locals do when it comes to everything Bacolod. At Greenoz, that means to have a bunch of friends go with you and order the biggest pie available and drink beer together. This isn't a meal as it isn't filling. It is "pulutan" (finger food usually associated with drinking). Also put hot sauce all over the pizza and banana ketchup if that's your thing.

You can find Greenoz all over a Bacolod but the most popular is on Lacson ST. next to Convergys. Call center workers like to head over to Greenoz after work and eat some pizza, drink beer, and shoot the breeze.

As you can imagine, this makes for an interesting environment. People will be drinking beer in the morning and causing a ruckus. Otherwise, the typical afternoon is relatively quiet and the evening picking up noise again. The service seems to be decent as I've never had too much of a problem there.

Taste: 3 out of 5 (decent taste but not worth the price)
